Peppercream

One of my favorite restaurants of all time is Murry's in Columbia, MO. It's a pretty small restaurant in a strip mall next to a laundromat, but it is THE BEST!  They have casual/fancy (I know, it's an oxymoron) American fare, ya know...steaks, chicken, pasta, sandwiches, seafood and such.

My usual order is Green Pepper Rings (or sometimes onion rings) for an appetizer, House Salad with Peppercream, Steak sandwich and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. If you've never had green pepper rings, you have to try these!  They're fried like onion rings, but then there's powdered sugar on top!  SO GOOD!  OMG....I'm salivating right now.

You all know that I looooove salad, so this is my attempt at creating Murry's famous Peppercream dressing.  Murry's salad has romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, pepperocini, and lots of shredded provel cheese.  Oooh it's so good!

Mix all together:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼-½ cup good grated parmesan
  • 2 Tbls. white wine vinegar
  • ¼ tsp. dried basil
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1-1½ tsp. fresh cracked pepper
  • lemon juice to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • Milk, to thin to desired consistency

Cal and I both agreed this was pretty darn close to Murry's.  Yummm

Thanks for stopping by!
